Take the A-Train

The Take the A‑Train Festival in Salzburg transforms the area around the main train station into a vibrant cultural hotspot every year – with concerts, performances, and club nights, from open-air stages to intimate off-locations. Additionally, many events can be attended for free.

10.9. - 13.9.2026
What is the Take the A‑Train Festival?

Since its founding in 2015, the festival has aimed to enliven the train station district (Elisabeth-Vorstadt) with a colorful cultural program, bringing together local talents and international acts on unconventional stages. Culture emerges in the heart of the district at over 15 venues – from open-air trucks to sky bars, cafés, dance schools, and ÖBB depots.

This was the festival program for 2025 (the 2026 program will follow)

Over 30 events offer a mix of concerts, performances, and club nights – spread across more than 15 locations in and around the main train station area.
