Eisarena Salzburg - Ice rink
The 3,600m² indoor ice rink at the Eisarena Volksgarten offers winter sports fun for the whole family.
The Ice Arena Salzburg in Numbers
The artificial ice rink is not only the home of EC Red Bull Salzburg but also a popular meeting place for recreational athletes. The arena, which has space for 3,200 visitors, features two ice surfaces measuring 60 x 30 meters each – one is indoors, and the other is outdoors.
What Activities Take Place in the Ice Arena?
In the Ice Arena, there is a diverse range of ice sports activities such as public skating, ice hockey, figure skating, curling, short track, and synchronized skating, as well as services like skate rental, skate sharpening, and curling stone rental. From mid-April to early August, the hall can be rented for events.
Current Visitor Numbers in the Ice Arena
Ice Magic Volksgarten
In the area of the Volksgartenbad, there are also two outdoor ice surfaces (300 m² and 400 m²) available, which are connected by a 330-meter long and three-meter wide ice path. In total, ice skating fans have an ice area of 1,700 m² at their disposal here.
Parking
Please note that parking is limited. The Ice Arena is accessible via city bus lines 6, 7, and 10.
Ice Arena: October 17, 2025 to March 8, 2026
Daily 10 AM - 4:15 PM
Monday, Wednesday, Saturday 7:15 PM - 8:30 PM
Magic on Ice: starting November 14, 2025 until approximately February 2026
Sunday-Thursday 10 AM - 7 PM
Friday-Saturday 10 AM - 9 PM
During the Magic on Ice period, these times apply, and the covered outdoor area of the Ice Arena is open until 3 PM.
From February 2026 (end of Magic on Ice), the regular hours of the Ice Arena will apply again.
During events, public access to the Ice Arena is not possible. Please see the website for dates.
