Salzburg boasts several campgrounds that are close to the city and offer complete camping facilities. With the help of the Salzburg Card, which includes free use of public transportation, this is an eco-friendly, stress-free and inexpensive way to visit our city.

New in Salzburg: Big parking area for motorhomes
A big parking area exclusively for motorhomes will open in December 2017 on Carl-Zuckmayer-Straße in Salzburg-Kasern. With 110 spaces, this parking area is an absolute Eldorado for campers, providing an especially affordable option for motorhome fans wanting to spend the night on the outskirts of the City of Mozart. Located in the north of Salzburg with a bus stop right next door, users have direct access to the city’s public transportation system. In other words, nothing stands in the way of a delightful excursion into the heart of the Salzburg historic district.
Useful information for Advent/Christmas/New Year’s: Camping Nord-Sam as well as Camping Panorama Stadtblick are open on specific days during Advent, Christmas and New Year’s (Please contact them for precise details!). The parking area in Salzburg-Kasern for motorhomes is open year-round.
Daytime Parking for RVs
In general, parking is permitted at city car parks, such as the one near Mirabell Palace, as well as inside the blue zone. Overnight parking is not allowed. On market days (Thursday or Wednesday, if Thursday is a public holiday), the Mirabell car park is not available from midnight until 4 p.m. Please note that RVs longer than 7 meters are not permitted at the Mirabell car park.
