S-Bike / E-Bike-Sharing-System

S-Bike is the new e-bike sharing system for Salzburg. It complements public transport and is particularly suitable for short distances, the first and last mile, as well as flexible trips within the city of Salzburg. S-Bike is station-based: the bicycles are rented at one station and returned to a designated S-Bike station.

The S-Bike connects public transport with modern mobility - whether for the commute to work, to the nearest public transport stop, or for a relaxed leisure ride.

Where can the S-Bike be used?

S-Bike is available in the city of Salzburg. In the first expansion phase, around 600 S-Bikes are ready at about 60 stations. Many stations are located in the city center, along important traffic routes, at train stations, near university locations, and at the city borders. In the long term, the network is to be expanded to up to 100 stations. The currently available stations are displayed in the wegfinder App as well as on the official website.

How does the rental work?

Renting is simple, fast, and straightforward.

get on & start biking (maximum rental duration 4h)

park at the marked return location
open the app and end the ride
take a photo of the parked bike directly in the app

Equipment of the S-Bike

With the S-Bike, comfortable and flexible mobility is possible. The modern equipment with a powerful electric drive, high range, and individually adjustable saddle height provides a pleasant riding experience. The motor assistance reaches speeds of up to 25 km/h. In pedestrian zones, the speed of the S-Bike is automatically reduced or the motor assistance is deactivated.
Additionally, selected S-Bikes with child seats are available.

With a KlimaTicket, there is an additional advantage: The first 30 minutes of each ride with a valid KlimaTicket, annual pass, etc. (only with the respective card products: all KTS, the KlimaTicket Austria, and the annual pass S-bike) are free of charge.
