Salzburg Military Historical Museum

Salzburg military history, including special exhibitions, at Schwarzenberg Barracks

Books, photos, uniforms, old and new weapons, maps, munitions, regulations, large-scale equipment such as tanks, field guns and vehicles, media, equipment, documents and much more – far more than 13,000 objects in total. Many of these are shown in two exhibition halls in Building 21 at the Schwarzenberg Barracks (“Schwarzenbergkaserne”) in Wals as well as on the grounds outside. The historical timeframe extends from the Roman Age to the present, with the Austrian Armed Forces of the Second Republic a special area of focus.

Accessibility

The ground floor of the museum allows for barrier-free access.
