Bus regulations – access/events
Special regulations apply to tour coaches wishing to access special events at the festival halls (Grosses Festspielhaus, Haus für Mozart, Felsenreitschule), at the University Great Hall as well as the Landestheater, Mozarteum and Marionette Theater.
The following regulations apply to events at the GROSSES FESTSPIELHAUS, HAUS FÜR MOZART and FELSENREITSCHULE:
Year-round (except during the Salzburg Summer Festival and Advent)
- access (unloading and loading only) only between 1 hour before and 1 hour after the performance (only after consultation with the organizer)
- access to the festival halls in Hofstallgasse only with an official bus sticker (which must be applied for annually as of December 1: busvignette@salzburgfestival.at)
Advent
- For buses wishing to drive into Hofstallgasse in order to drop off/pick up passengers, a bus permit sticker is required. This is only issued for guests attending “Salzburger Adventsingen” and “Salzburger Hirtenadvent”. Tour buses must register in advance. Please contact the organizer of the event in question.
- Bus access to both of these Advent events is possible within 1 hour before and after the booked performance.
- TIP! To avoid potential difficulties driving into Hofstallgasse, we recommend dropping off/picking up your passengers at the bus terminals in Nonntal or Paris-Lodron Straße.
The following regulations apply to events at the Salzburg LANDESTHEATER, MOZARTEUM and MARIONETTE THEATER:
- before 7 pm use the Paris-Lodron terminal, online bookings required in advance!
- after 7 pm coaches may stop in Schwarzstrasse (only on the side of the event buildings) to unload/load passengers and must comply with the standard rules of the road.
