Beurle Trachten
Whether regional everyday costumes, classic festive costumes or colourful corsage dirndls - for over 70 years the name "Beurle" has stood for exclusive traditional costume fashion.
Since 1949, a large selection of dirndls and traditional costumes has been produced by hand in the lovingly renovated old town house of the Beurle workshop in Neutorstrasse. And if you still can't find what you're looking for, there is a huge range of fabrics such as cotton, linen, velvet and silk to help you create your own custom-made dirndl. Special eye-catchers in the garments are the finest handmade embroideries and ruffles, which make each piece unique.
In cooperation with the folklore department of the Salzburg Museum or other cultural institutions, the Beurle workshop organises several traditional-costume fashion-shows every year, where the high-quality pieces are presented. However, the traditional workshop does not only produce traditional costume fashion: The religious clothing for the Benedictines of St. Peter's Abbey is also sewn by the talented hands of the Beurle workshop.
