Nostalgic chocolate cabinets and colorful candy stands exude the charm of times gone by. For decades, Confiserie Holzermayer on the Alter Markt has been a popular address for handmade chocolate specialties and fine confectionery.

Imperial confectionery

For more than 160 years, the chocolates of Confiserie Josef Holzermayer have satisfied Salzburg's cravings for all things sweet. Archduke Franz Ferdinand even appointed the confectioner from Werfen as purveyor to the imperial and royal court thanks to his excellent specialities. "Chocolate to enjoy" has always been the company founder's motto. In 1919, in addition to the gingerbread and confectionery shop in Werfen, he opened a shop at the Alter Markt in the heart of Salzburg, where time seems to have stood still.

Handmade specialties

The focus of the range is on fine pralines, truffles, chocolates and seasonal confectionery, which are made with great care and the best ingredients. Particularly popular are the classically filled Mozartkugeln from our own production, which are characterized by their quality. There are also unusual creations such as nougat variations or fruity chocolate combinations. All products are made according to traditional recipes and to the highest standards of taste.

Product range: large selection of fresh cream truffles, bonbonnières and fresh chocolates as well as sweets (e.g. boiled sweets, caramelised almonds, French caramels).
