Advent Market at the Fortress
Atmospheric advent market in the fortress courtyard featuring local arts and crafts, original gifts, special Christmas delicacies and an entertaining programme of side events.
Already on the way up, more than a hundred traditional Herrnhut stars illuminate the fortress alley in a romantic sea of lights. Many locals come to the fortress at least once a year to enjoy the beautiful view of the Christmas old town with a mug of mulled wine. The accompanying program of the market is also popular with families. On all opening days, there is a supervised children's program at the Hödlmoser studio with music, baking cookies, a reading corner, and Christmas crafts.
