Solène Weinachter: AFTER ALL | © Stefano Scanferla

After All – A Dance Piece About Life and Death

A unique solo theater evening combines touching storytelling, profound reflection, and surprising humor. Solène Weinachter dances between life and death—a sensitive, emotional work of art for everyone.

The French-Scottish dancer and choreographer Solène Weinachter explores the taboo subject of death in her solo piece—with surprising humor and deep emotion. Inspired by conversations with end-of-life caregivers, coffin weavers, and interfaith groups, she combines dance, theater, and storytelling. In doing so, she questions which rituals are missing in society and how people deal with moments of speechlessness. With physical presence and subtle irony, Weinachter sheds light on traditional, forgotten, and newly invented funeral cultures. Each performance becomes unique through the encounter with the audience: spontaneous interactions create a space for reflection and community. The piece emerged from intensive research and moves within the tension between movement and narrative—light yet profound, touching, and always with a clear focus on what connects us all.
