Guided tour of the special exhibition "Là ci darem la mano"
Installation of the internationally renowned artist Stephan Balkenhol.
Under the title "Là ci darem la mano ..." opera characters from Mozart's, Verdi's, and Puccini's masterpieces will be brought to new life in the Residenzplatz and in the DomQuartier.
On an expert-guided tour of the installation by the internationally renowned artist Stephan Balkenhol, you dive into his work and encounter Figaro, Elektra, Don Giovanni, Turandot, Othello, and Carmen as wooden sculptures created specifically for these spaces: The dialogue between contemporary art and the opulent room is particularly captivating, especially since the first opera north of the Alps was performed in the Carabinierisaal and Mozart had his workspace here.
Subsequently, from the Dombo terrace, the view opens up to the Residenzplatz, where you encounter the same figures, cast in bronze, once again (until September 5).
