Indie rock and dream pop: Widowspeak present their new album "Roses"
For 15 years, Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas have been blending indie rock with dream pop, but "Roses" showcases the band with a new lightness: nostalgic and realistic at the same time, with lyrics about co-dependency (metaphorically described as cars), daily rituals like pouring water for guests, or the melancholy of waiting.
