In Obertrum am See, 20 km north of the city of Salzburg, the Trumer Privatbrauerei demonstrates how contemporary and sustainable beer brewing works. The family business has been run for eight generations and stands for distinctive beer specialties that are now brewed 100% with renewable energy.

Characterful Pilsner Specialties

Since 1601, beer has been brewed in Obertrum, and since 1775, the independent family-owned brewery has been run by the Sigl family. The flagship of the socially accountable brewery, which brews consistently according to its own values and bears the quality seal for "Slow-Brewing", is the globally awarded Trumer Pils. In the brewing process, only natural hops from selected hop farmers are used, fermented in open fermentation tanks, and aged slowly according to the philosophy of "Slow-Brewing".
