Historical flair and a wide selection

Established in 1656, the R.F. Azwanger business is the oldest delicatessen in Salzburg. Their selection now comprises more than 5000 items, including spirits, sparkling wines, champagne as well as domestic and international wines. In addition to Austrian chocolates, jams, vinegars, oils and coffees, they also carry deli products from Italy, France and Spain. That said, Azwanger customers don’t only come here because of the wide selection; they are also drawn by the unique atmosphere of the shop itself: The cross-vaulted ceilings, steps made from red Adnet marble and the old-fashioned shelves conjure up an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and quite adorable.

This has been the Azwanger motto since 2019. That’s also when the second location of this traditional Salzburg business was opened at the Grünmarkt. A location that was used generations ago to sell herbs and spices. Today, customers can pick up fresh goods along with an excellent selection of wines.
