The top address for cheese lovers: Since 1892, the Kaslöchl has offered a wide selection of fine cheeses from the very best producers inside its tiny 7 m² shop on Hagenauer Platz.


A small corner of heaven for cheese lovers

In general, set out in front of the nostalgic wooden facade of the Kaslöchl are tempting cheese samples for passersby to taste. Having succumbed, it is virtually impossible to resist stepping inside this traditional business. Within the confines, you are able to inhale the many different, and often quite powerful fragrances. The Soukup family and their team are perfect resource to answer any questions you might have.

Extraordinary variety of cheeses

Depending on the season, their fantastic selection comprises anywhere from 120 to 150 different cheeses – mostly organic. This is an excellent opportunity for foreign visitors, in particular, to learn about Austria’s own specialty cheeses that have long since become established at top restaurants.
