Alvaro Barrington - On the Road (TMS)
Thaddaeus Ropac Salzburg presents Álvaro Barrington's latest series of works in the artist's second solo exhibition in Austria.
In Barrington's works, colorful abstract shapes are sewn into the material using different techniques. The paintings on jute showcase a variety of carnival masquerade figures from Grenada as well as from Trinidad and Tobago, drawing on the vocabulary of forms from Cuban fabric patterns.
