Carillon "Glockenspiel" tour
Over 190 steps lead you high up! Learn more about the history and technical marvel of the Salzburg carillon. Enjoy a unique panoramic view over the city of Salzburg. The carillon can only be visited as part of a guided tour!

Under the helmet of the tower on the west side of the Neue Residenz is the Salzburg Glockenspiel.
Since 1704, the Glockenspiel has been playing in Salzburg. Currently about 40 musical pieces, 16 of which are attributed to Johann Michael Haydn. The pieces by father and son Mozart are arrangements from the 19th century.
