Salzburger Dult - Fair

The Salzburger Dult is the largest folk festival in and around Salzburg and one of the oldest traditional events in the region. It takes place every year at Whitsun on the exhibition grounds in the city of Salzburg and attracts thousands of visitors.

Salzburger Dult offers an extraordinary combination of country fair and trade show. Admission is free.

On the expo grounds, visitors can look forward to all the entertainment you would traditionally associate with a classic folk festival:

  • fairground rides
  • exhibitors
  • beer tents
  • market stands
  • and games stalls

The Salzburger Dult traditionally opens on Whit Saturday with a big parade. Marchers include wind musicians, whip crackers, ceremonial militia and horse-drawn carriages.
