Visual Echoes: Counter-Images in the Stream of Pictures.
With Visual Echoes — Counterimages in the Stream of Images, the Museum of Modern Art Salzburg at Mönchsberg presents a new exhibition featuring five large-format works by international artists. Each work is presented in its own room, providing an intense visual experience.
The works in Visual Echoes scrutinize the streams of images of our time: How do these contents shape our perception, emotions, and memory? And what makes them so powerful? Through unconventional interventions in the streams of images, new visual orders emerge. Thus, the works break with familiar viewing habits and create critical counter-images.
Featuring works by Susan Hiller, Luis Jacob, Arthur Jafa, Mathias Poledna / Karthik Pandian & Ana Torfs.
Open on Mondays during public holidays as well as during the Easter, Whitsun, and summer festivals from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
